Environmental destruction has always been a subject of interest of all engine developers.

he Blast game engine now supports a completely destructible world.

Each wall, door or static sprite has the ability to get damaged by explosives (or other extreme damage emitters for that matter) and blow particles up with physically correct properties.

At this early stage, the ruins of the exploded objects are all textured with the same single texture. A test has shown that using the same texture as the exploding object is a good future improvement of this mechanic.
